Marilyn J. Cragun

Marilyn J. Cragun, 85 of Elkhart, passed away August 7, 2012 at her home.

She was born March 10, 1927 in Elkhart to Herbert F. and Daisy M. (Eaton) Beck and married Charles W. Cragun on Sept. 21, 1946 in Elkhart. He died Oct. 17, 1990. Surviving are a son, Chuck (Kris) Cragun of Osceola, a daughter, Peggy Jo (Wayne) Pettit of Elkhart, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a sister, Elizabeth (Bill) Reinke of Granger.

Marilyn graduated in 1945 from Elkhart High School and retired after 30 years as a librarian from Concord Community Schools and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. She also was a member of the Birthday Club with friends and enjoyed gardening and socializing with friends and family.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart . Services will be held at the Faith United Methodist Church Chapel on Saturday at 11 am. Pastor Andrea Bremmer will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
