Joan Rhoads Richardson, 87 of Elkhart, IN passed away on Thursday March 14,2024 at Elkhart Place in Elkhart, IN. Joan was born on March 5, 1937 in California. She married James Richardson in December of 1998.

Joan retired from the University of Notre Dame as a secretary. She enjoyed watching old movies, antiques and gardening.

Joan is survived by her husband of 26 years. James Richardson of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren Nicholas K. Rhoads of Connecticut, Jennifer V. Rhoads of New York; step-son James E. Richardson of Indiana; step-daughter Amy L. (James) Davies of Indiana and step-granddaughter Hannah J. Davies of Indiana. Joan was preceded in death by her mom Helen Ross; sister Patricia Kholer and sons Kirk Rhoads and Craig Rhoads.
