Harry Thomas Stephenson

Harry Thomas Stephenson, 89, of Elkhart, passed away on November 4, 2018 at Hospice House of Elkhart.  He was born on May 13, 1929 in Cleveland, OH to Harry T. and Margaret (Huffgard) Stephenson.  He married Theresa Chilia on Sept. 7, 1957.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa, of Elkhart; his children: Mark (Cindi) Stephenson of Pleasanton, CA; Eileen (Michael) Lee of Ft. Wayne, IN; Catherine (Michael) Ernst of Granger, IN; Mary Beth (Frank) Leone of Wheaton, IL; and Jennifer (Mark) Smith of Antioch, IL.  Also surviving are 14 grandchildren.

Mr. Stephenson served his country honorably in Korea in the U.S. Army.  He started his career as a chemist.  He then became a lawyer.  He retired as the owner of Environmental Test Systems in Elkhart. 

He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.

A Memorial Mass will be at 11 AM on Saturday Nov. 10, 2018 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.  Fr. Jason Freiburger will officiate.  Burial will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the church.
