Linda M. (Clune) Willard

Linda M. Willard, age 69, entered eternal life after a long courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Center for Hospice in Elkhart. Linda was born on August 10, 1949 in Ferndale, Michigan to Donald and Lois Clune. Linda graduated from St. Joseph High School. She married Richard Berndt, who preceded her in death. They had two daughters. She and Don Willard just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on May 29th.

Linda worked at Western & Southern Insurance Company, Starbucks and she retired from Martin’s Supermarket. She and Don traveled to Florida in their motor coach to avoid the cold winters. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially celebrations of birthdays and holidays. Linda was a people person, kind hearted with an easygoing personality. A special thanks to her caregiver and step-daughter Julie for all the love and support you have given to Linda.

Linda is survived by her husband, Don, her two daughters Kathy Berndt of Seattle, WA, Kristie (Frank Moran) Kederis of Naples, FL, her step-daughters, Joyce Long of North Port, FL., Julie (Alan) Boggs of Elkhart and Donna (Mike) Long of Bristol. Her grandchildren, Ellie, Frank, Jonathan, Ashley and Colton. Also surviving is her sister Lisa (William) Lennon of Marquette, MI and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Mark Clune.

Friends may visit with family from 12pm to 4pm on Friday June 21, 2019 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart where her funeral service will be held at 4pm with Pastor Brian Whidden officiating. You may share memories with the family on the funeral home website.
