Orville "Gene" Bradshaw

Orville “Gene” Bradshaw, 86, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday Feb. 9, 2019 at his home.

He was born March 20, 1932 in Elkhart to Charles and Nora (McClanahan) Bradshaw. He married Delores Earl on June 30, 1962 at Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart.

Gene retired from Miles Laboratories after more than 40 years of service. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Gene is survived by his wife of 57 years, Delores; daughters, Diane (Mike) Cooper of Elkhart, Rhonda Bradshaw (Chris Burd) of Granger, Elizabeth D’Haese of Elkhart; son, Daniel Bradshaw of Elkhart; grandchildren, Amy, Desiree and Richard; great grandchildren, Tyler, Taya, Trinity and Eliana as well as his sister Lilian Keller of Bristol. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Paul Bradshaw, Laura Sheaf, Oscar Bradshaw, Elmer Bradshaw, Leona Warner, Opal Mark and Donald Bradshaw.

Friends may visit with family from 12:30pm to 1:30 pm on Thursday February 14, 2019 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 1:30pm where Sister Nora Frost will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Gene may be made to American Cancer Society of Elkhart, 810 West Bristol Street, Elkhart, IN  46514.
