Family was Wanda’s number one priority. She loved cooking for and spending time with her family. Her recipe for Potato Salad was requested often, giving her a sense of pride. She had a knack of fine dicing the potatoes like no one else. Even those that didn’t care for potato salad, loved her recipe.
Until Wanda’s health declined, she rarely missed her children and then grandchildren’s athletic events. She was by far their biggest fan often bring treats for a job well done. She loved to watch Notre Dame football and The Kardashians, as well as shopping.
Wanda attended the Indiana School for the Deaf in Indianapolis as a young child, which was several hours from home. She missed her family terribly when she was there and would have preferred to be on the farm with her siblings. After school, she worked as a production worker for the Kent Company for 23 years.
