Allan Reid

Allan Jerome Reid, 54 of Elkhart, IN passed away at home on August 17, 2025. Allan was born on October 8, 1970 in Elkhart to Allen Jerome Neely and Nancy Lee Reid. He married Alathea Jerrell on March 25, 2019.

Allan spent most of his time working on cars and tackling any challenge that required fixing. He was quite the handyman. Allan also enjoyed his quite times of fishing.

Allan is survived by his wife, Alathea Reid of Knoxville, TN; his daughters, Dejanara Reid and Tiara McCoy, both of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter Valerie; sister, Alicia Neely of South Bend, IN., and his uncle, Lawrence Halliburton, who raised Allan like his son. Allan was preceded in death by his parents Allen Neely and Nancy Reid and his brother Allen Jerome Neely Jr. Allan will be sadly missed by all those that loved him.

A celebration of life for Allan will be held from 7-9 pm on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Willowdale Pavilion, 1320 Olive Avenue, Elkhart, IN 4651.
