Beau Anthony Raber, age 40, of Elkhart passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Beau was born on January 1, 1981in Elkhart to David and Cheryl Ann Raber.
Beau discovered early, while play at recess, a love for soccer. By age eleven he was playing for the Elkhart Flames which he enjoyed until joining the Elkhart Central High School team where he played until graduating in 1999. He then continued his education at ITT Fort Wayne where he earned his Associate degree in Architectural Engineering.
Upon graduation he returned to Elkhart where he was employed at Alamc Sotebeer. He enjoyed many years working alongside his father at the family business, Rainbow Irrigation. He most recently was a landscaper at Stoneridge Landscaping.
Beau was very artistic and loved creating new designs that would be featured on clothing, wall art and various metal pieces. He was the owner of Beau Anthony Designs. Along with his love of art he had a passion for speed and enjoyed his motorcycle and special Subaru and watching the Indy 500, Formula 1 and most all racing! He also caught his family's passion for watching the Cubs, Bears and IU basketball.
Family and friends remember Beau's kindness to so many and so often in his life. He cared especially for neighbors who had become special friends and many others in his shortened time on this earth.
Beau is survived by his father David Raber and friend Jan Rach of Elkhart, his sister Olivia Raber of Elkhart, his niece and nephews, Levon Parker, Cohen Parker and Brooklyn Parker; his grandmother, Doris Lavery of Elkhart, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Beau was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl and his grandparents, Ricard "Dick" Lavery and Paul & Sharai Raber.
He enjoyed playing soccer and, For the last 10 years, Volleyball with various local teams. Beau could often be seen wherever there was a gathering of volleyball players.
His love of the sport is instrumental in the choice for a Celebration of life to be held this weekend August 27, 2022 as an Annual Volleyball Tournament. It will be at The Gallery Elkhart with check in at 11am and start time 12pm. Teams will be Coed 6s- min 2 females. Prizes will be awarded, and proceeds will be donated to CAPS. Public is invited.
