Beryl Taig

Beryl Taig, age 100, of Edwardsburg, MI passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Hubbard Hill-Living Wisdom Community with her family by her side. Beryl was born on February 17, 1925 in Burry Port, Wales to Richard and Elizabeth Rees. She was one day shy of her 101 birthday. She married Alistair G. Taig in 1953, he preceded her in death on May 25, 2021. 

Beryl enjoyed playing BINGO and slot machines at the casino, especially when she won! She was very crafting, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. She made her own wedding dress, and she was known for making beautiful fur coats. She enjoyed having beautiful flowers around her home.  Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and friends.

 Beryl is survived by her children, Paul (Samantha) Taig of Ashford, Kent, Great Britain, Robert (Andy) Taig of Copacabana, Australia, Steve (Sue) Taig of Elkhart, IN and Jennifer Lantz of Goshen, IN; grandchildren, Taylor (Bethany) Lantz, Kenny (Becca) Taig, John (Nichole) Taig, Tom (Thien)Taig, Christopher Taig, Nicholas (Madilyn) Taig and Emma Taig; her great-grandchildren, Landyn, Sutton and Alyssa. Beryl was preceded in death by her siblings Eileen, Barbara, Olive, Raymond, David and Ormand.
