Beverly Ann Phelps

Beverly A. Phelps, 83, of Elkhart, IN, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Bev was born in Elkhart, IN, on December 18, 1940, to Waldo and Mary (Fultz)Parkhurst.

Bev is survived by sons, George “Rick” Tam of Elkhart, IN, Dennis (Margaret) Tam of Elkhart, IN; stepson Michael Phelps of Elkhart, IN., and stepdaughter Kimberly (Phelps)Jones of Elkhart, IN., her brother Jack (Sue) Parkhurst of Elkhart, IN., nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren Bev is preceded in death by her parents Waldo and Mary, husband Donald Phelps, sister Susan Parkhurst, daughter Delceine Manning and one grandchild.

Bev spent 10 years serving the children of Elkhart Community Schools in the food service department. Bev enjoyed spending her time doing crafts. Bev will be dearly missed by those who loved her.

Visitation will be held from 11am -1 pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be at 1pm. Pastor Michael Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow services at Prairie Street Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
