Birtha Lee Dobbs

Birtha Lee Dobbs, age 84 of Elkhart, IN went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Birtha was born on June 1, 1941, to Silas and Polly Lee Dobbs in Crenshaw, Mississippi.

Birtha loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a faithful member of Greater Bethlehem for over 50 years and was a member of the choir. Her favorite song to lead was called Spend my Eternity in Heaven! She sang in the Gospel Echo’s and the Angels of Glory. She retired from Acousticom Corporation in Elkhart, IN and she also worked at the Super 8 in Elkhart. She enjoyed crocheting beautiful things for her family and friends.

Birtha is survived by her siblings Addie Dobbs, Melvin Dobbs, Kalvin Dobbs, Marvin Dobbs, Jackie Dobbs and Deloris Dobbs; a special niece and care giver Pamela Wilson and her daughter Markeshia Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas Dobbs, Sr. and Polly Lee Dobbs, her sister, Margie Wilson and her brother Silas Dobbs, Jr. Birtha will be sadly missed all who knew her.

Visitation will be from 10-11 am on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Greater Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 1829 Oakland Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516 where funeral services will be at 11am Rev.
