Brenda Lynn Dunn

Brenda Lynn Dunn, 70, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday March 8, 2026 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born February 11, 1956 in Indianapolis, IN to Galen and Ina Jean Linville. She attended Triton Central High School Class of 1974.

Brenda crafting especially with flowers, quilting, listening to music traveling and most of all shopping!

Brenda married Dwain Shadley and they had a daughter, Quintina “Tina” (Brady) Meek. She then married Earl Carroll and they had five children, Branden (Brittanie) Carroll, Bridgett (Andrew) Clements, Camille “Cami” (Jeffrey) Boyer, Clifford “Quintin” (Wendy) Carroll and Alisha (Adam) Mingucha. She also has 30 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, 24 nephews and 13 nieces, and her companion David Edward Fields. Also surviving are her siblings, Gladys (Danny) Nusbaumer, Michael (Susie) Swearingen, Joe (Sarah) Linville, Dan (Geth) Linville and Theresa (James) Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Galen Linville, mother, Ina Jean (Dunagan) Winchester, brothers Aaron DeWayne Linville and Teddy Weldon Linville and granddaughter Elizabeth Glassburn.

Visitation will be 11am to 1pm, Saturday March 14, 2026 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where her funeral service will be at 1pm with Pastor Robert Clements officiating. She will be buried at Trout Creek Cemetery at a later date.
