Carol Leona Murschel

Carol Leona Murschel, age 80 of Elkhart, IN passed away with her family by her side on May 3, 2026 at Center for Hospice Care - Esther' s House in Elkhart, IN. Carol was born on December 14, 1945 to Harvey and Wauneta McDonald in Long Beach, California.

Carol enjoyed life from being self-employed, painter, librarian, tax preparer, being with her Carolina Shag Group or being on stage at The Bristol Opera House

Carol is survived by her children Matthew (Amy) Murschel of Orlando, FL and Christina (Howie) Herrick and her grandson Miles Herrick; as well as her sister Beverly Boland and sisters-in-law Debra Jett and Connie Hoover. Most of all she loved to be a mom to her children, a grandma to her grandson and a good friend to her friends. Carol will be sadly missed.

 In keeping with Carol's wishes a celebration of her life service will be held at a later date.
