Cyrilla K. Ogle

Cyrilla K. Ogle, age 99, of North Carolina, formerly of Elkhart, IN, passed peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2026. She was born to Cyril and Magdalena Taylor on January 12, 1927 in Long Island City, NY. On November 2, 1946, she married Edward B. Ogle in Syracuse, NY. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2009.

Cyrilla worked as an Operation Services Manager at General Telephone & Electronics for 21 years before her retirement. A former member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Elkhart, IN, she had a servant’s heart, spending 18 years volunteering her time to hospice. Throughout her life, she could be found tending her garden, playing bridge, baking delicious treats, or playing a round of golf at Four Lakes Country Club, where she was a member. She also cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by her family.

Cyrilla is survived by her children; Gail (Rand) Nilsson of Camano Island, WA, Vickie Miller of Leland, NC, and James Ogle of Nappanee, IN, two grandchildren, Daniela (Preston) Martin, and Diana (Joel) Marmolejos, and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Magdalena Taylor, husband, Edward Ogle, granddaughter, Samantha Ogle, and siblings Jean Polachek, Edmund Taylor, and Larry Taylor.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00am-12:00pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Edward, at Rice Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.stemmlawsonpeterson.com
