Darlene I. Silk

Darlene I. Silk, age 69 of Elkhart, IN passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 at Esther’s House, Center for House in Elkhart, IN. Darlene was born on June 23, 1957 to Frank Casper and Alice Irene Cox in Goshen, IN. Darlene married Purl Robert Silk, Jr. on June 27, 1975 he preceded her in death on June 19, 2007.

Darlene retired from the Indiana Toll Road, as a toll clerk. She enjoyed watching football, NASCAR and birds. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

Darlene is survived by her children, Robert Silk III of Goshen, IN., Crystol (Roger) Chanthachak of Battle Creek, IN., Jeremy Silk of Elkhart, IN and Shawn (Kelly) Silk of Elkhart, IN 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren as well as her siblings, Fern (Bryon) Smart and Bobby Doolittle and Becky Doolittle. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brothers Randy Cox and Lyle Cox.
