David Lee Stiemert

David Lee Stiemert, age 73 of Bristol, IN, formerly of Oregon, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. David was born on March 21, 1953 to John and Ardis Stiemert in Hammond, IN.

David made friends everywhere he went and loved connecting with people. As a bartender, he loved exchanging stories and always remembered their drink orders. He loved the game of golf and would never miss an opportunity to swim in the ocean. His life was marked by a love of travel and a passion for chasing the sun around the world. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his loved ones, especially his son.

David is survived by his son, Bryce (Ainsley) Stiemert of Nashville, TN, his partner Jean Creasbaum of Bristol, IN, brother Duane (Judy) Stiemert of Tucson, AZ, and sister Juleen Kaegebein of Greenville, IN. David was preceded in death by his parents and brother Richard “Dick” Stiemert.

In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be a celebration of life at a later date in Oregon. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting David’s family.
