"Millie Ferro was Diana's coach, mentor, and friend. Millie published a book, "They Never Quit." There was a chapter about Diana. What follows is my summation of this story. But, they are Millie's words. Diana lived every day as a champion. She was a woman who had the courage and tenacity to do what was required of her at any particular moment of her life. Diana had the mental and physical courage not to quit, to dream the impossible even when she had to endure mental and physical pain. Diana lived her life with faith and she persisted in everything she did until she achieved success. Diana did not beat cancer. Just because you lose doesn't mean you are not a champion! I shared Diana's life for 24 years. Diana had courage and mental toughness and a big heart. Diana was my champion. I am grateful that we found each other. I am grateful for our time together. Thank you, Millie, for the words." — Gina Fragomeni
