We bid farewell for now to Donnie (Don) Zack Dailey, 70, husband, father, grandfather (Pops)and friend. Don Dailey, 70 of Elkhart, IN passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at his home after an extended journey with cancer, surrounded by his family. Don was born on September 14, 1954, to Roy and Barbara Dailey in Irving, Texas. Don grew up in Yakima, Washington where he met and married his wife of almost 49 years, Sally (Smith) Dailey on October 16,1976 at West Valley Missionary Church in Yakima, WA. They moved to Elkhart, Indiana in the 1970's where they started a family and established lifelong friendships through church and work.
Don was a production supervisor in the RV Industry. He was an active member at Faith United Methodist Church, where he sang in the church choir and worship team, men's fellowship, Youth for Christ lifeline, men's softball and mission trips to Haiti. Don loved to spend time with his family, especially spoiling his grandchildren.
Don is survived by his wife Sally, his parents Roy and Barbara Dailey of Hemet, CA., his children, Erica Dailey, Kalise Dailey and Alison (Drew) Weaver all of Elkhart, IN, who will carry him in their hearts in their own special ways. His joy in these later days were his grandchildren; Fernanda Sanchez-Mendoza, Andrew VanAtta, Tyshawn Lutes, Ehren VanAtta, Kris VanAtta, Olivia Weaver and Beckett Anderson and his sisters Dorene (Marty) Dailey-Bielefeld of Temecula, CA, Debbie (Kevin) Moody of Yakima, WA, mother-in-law Lorraine Smith of Yakima, WA and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces. Don was preceded in death by his daughter Megan Lehn Dailey. He was loved and will be missed by many. He has left us too soon, but we look forward to our heavenly reunion.
In keeping with Don's wishes visitation will be from 1:30-2:00pm July 19, 2025, where a celebration of life service will begin at 2:00pm at Faith United Methodist Church, 22045 CR 18, Goshen, IN 45528.
