Donna Rita Johnson

Donna Rita Johnson, age 84 of Elkhart, IN passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 surrounded by her family. Donna was born on January 29, 1942 in New York. She married James Earl Johnson on February 25, 1965, he preceded her in death on May 4, 2025.

Donna worked for several years as a secretary. She enjoyed looking for a bargain, while feeling the fabric while shopping. She enjoyed taking the scenic route and traveling along country roads. She always liked her yard to be well manicured with beautiful flowers. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family going out to eat or staying home enjoying a homecooked meal. Nothing meant more to Donna than spending time with her family.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Regina (Maurice) Johnson, granddaughters Alarice (Duane) Johnson and Trenee Nicole Brownlee and her great-grandchildren; Ariyah Brownlow, Jaylen Johnson, Janiah Williams and Rory Brownlee all of Elkhart, IN. Donna is preceded in death by her husband James Johnson and her twin baby daughter Sonya Kaye on December 14, 1967.
