Doris Pauline Wolfinger

Doris Pauline Wolfinger, age 84, of Union, MI passed away at her home on Monday, August 29, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born on July 11, 1938 in Cassopolis, MI., to Samuel and Fern Mechling. She married the love of her life, Howard Edward Wolfinger on Sunday, August 1, 1971 at Kessington Community Church, he preceded her in death January 14, 2019.

In her youth Doris worked in the office at Adams Westlake, and as a secretary at  Kessington Church and School for several years. She enjoyed doing latch hook, puzzles and growing things in her garden. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Doris is survived by her nieces, Cheryl (Brent Stump) Black of Bristol, IN., Pat (Scott) Sullivan of Edwardsburg, MI. and Pam (Doug) Ward of Three Rivers, MI and her nephew, Robert (Jackie) Black of Bristol, IN and several great- nieces and great-nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Maxine Black and her niece Christine Black.

A memorial service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Kessington Community Church, 70200 Kessington Road, Edwardsburg, MI 49112 where visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514.
