Elizabeth Barone, age (78), passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family after courageously fighting her third battle with breast cancer. Born on July 3, 1947, Elizabeth lived a life defined by strength, resilience, compassion, and deep love for her family and friends. She was a woman who faced life's challenges with grace and determination, inspiring many through both her perseverance and her generous heart.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Barone Sr.; her grandson, Jefferson Haupt; and several of her siblings. She is survived by her loving daughters, Chantel (Bob) Boone and Tonya (Ric) Haupt; her cherished 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as one brother and one sister. She also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, former clients, and countless people whose lives she touched over the years.

Elizabeth enjoyed a successful career as a Realtor for 25 years, where she built lasting relationships and was known for her dedication, warmth, and ability to make others feel at ease. Prior to her real estate career, she worked as a sales representative in the van and RV industry, where her outgoing personality and strong work ethic helped her thrive. Outside of work, Elizabeth truly treasured time spent with her family. She was an avid golfer who enjoyed days on the course, and she also loved bowling. In 1980, she proudly won the Elkhart Truth Roll Off, an accomplishment she always enjoyed remembering and sharing with others. Having personally endured the difficult journey of cancer, Elizabeth devoted part of her life to helping others by volunteering as a mentor for newly diagnosed cancer patients. Her compassion, encouragement, and firsthand understanding brought comfort and hope to many during some of their hardest moments.

To many of her daughter Chantel's friends, Elizabeth was lovingly known simply as "Grandma," a reflection of the warmth, love, comfort, and acceptance she freely gave to everyone around her. More than anything, Elizabeth will be remembered for her strength, her sense of humor, her caring spirit, and the unconditional love she gave to her family. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in the memories her loved ones will forever hold close to their hearts.
