Eva L. “Ma” Cripe, 92 of Elkhart, passed away December 27, 2013 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born February 2, 1921 in Elkhart to Lawrence and Thelma (Cathcart) Hosler. She married Othello “Pete” Cripe on April 11, 1953. He died December 6, 1997. Surviving are 2 sons, Thomas E. Mosier and Loren “Bud” Mosier and a daughter, Cookie (Jerald) Watchorn all of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Eva was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Mosier, a great-grandson, Warren Othello Woodill and a sister, Betty Aller.
Eva was a homemaker, and had worked for CTS Corp. for 15 years, C.G. Conn’s for 1 year, was a machinist for United Tool and Stamping Co., and retired as a housekeeper for Mark Sills. She attended New Testament Bible Church and loved to fish, cross-stitch, and do crossword puzzles.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday, Jan. 3rd, 2014 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral & Cremation Center where services will be held at 11 am Saturday, Jan. 4th. Pastor Shirley Fox will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol.
