Evelyn Lorraine Lindstrom, age 93, of Elkhart passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Millers Merry Manor. She was born on January 29, 1927 in Colfax Township, MI to Wilbur and Marie Stanley. Evelyn married Elmer Lindstrom on January 22, 1949 in Mount Etna.

Evelyn worked in payroll for many years at Elkhart General Hospital. She was an Avon representative for over 50 years.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved collecting dolls and teddy bears. She belonged to Questers and the Fort Wayne and South Bend doll clubs.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Diane (Dan) Sink and David Lindstrom of Elkhart; her grandchildren, Alisha (Nick) Soward, Nicholas Hays, Ashlee (Ben) Glick, Erick Lindstrom, Ben and Mike Lambright; her great-grandchildren, Marshall Soward, Carson, Aurora, Alexis and Camdon Glick and Graham Lindstrom,.  Her siblings, Patricia Furnish, Mary Shaw, Janet (David) Daugherty, Mona (James) Pinkerton, Wayne (Carol) Stanley, Catherine King, Howard (Connie) Stanley, Fey Rita (Glen) Benefiel and Kenneth Ray (Teresa) Stanley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings, Laura Mae Smithley, Wilma Jean Pilgrim, Charles Stanley, Richard Lee Stanley, Brenda Kendall, Norval Stanley and Keith Stanley.

In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes, all services will be private. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Prairie Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Elkhart County, 54687 CR 19, Bristol, IN 46507 or www.elkharthumanesociety.org .  Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home is assisting the Lindstrom family.
