Florence E. Kingery

Florence E. Kingery,85 of 1900 Jeanwood Drive, Elkhart died February 12, 2008 @ 8:55 A.M. at Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.She was born on December 9, 1922 in Upland, Indiana to Clarence and Iva Lena (Wolf) Stewart.She married Ivan J. Kingery on June 16, 1940 in Frankfort, Indiana.He died on November 19, 2004.

Surviving are three daughters; Sandy Sandusky and Diana (Robin) Tebo of Elkhart and Lenamae (Branty) Davis, a son, David (Claudia) Kingery of Holland, Michigan; 16 Grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great-Great Grandchildren.A brother, Francis Stewart preceded her in death.

Friends may call 2 hours prior to the funeral service which will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart with the Pastor Carl Henry of Northside Baptist Church officiating.

Mrs. Kingery was a professional musician who performed with her husband at Shakey's Pizza Parlor and other venues; taught music at her home; was the music director at Creative Expressions Art Center in Elkhart for 19 years and Co-owned Kingery Refrigeration with her husband.She volunteered at Camp Bellowood running the carrousel and train. She also loved spending time with her family.Memorial contributions may be given to the Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
