Florine Lee Bonnell, age 87, of Elkhart formerly of Mishawaka passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Florine was born on August 4, 1934 in Medaryville, IN to Alfred and Georgia (Wilson) Archer. She married Arnold Lee Bonnell on December 9, 1950 in Indiana he preceded her in death on May 20, 2011.
In Florine’s younger years she worked in a tomato canning factory and at the Elkhart Elks in the kitchen. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Her favorite time in life was being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Florine is survived by her daughter Joyce A. (David) Martin of Elkhart, her son Timothy J. Bonnell of Mishawaka, grandchildren, Crystal Newcomer(Marcos Perez), Amber Newcomer, Aaron Martin (Heather Lantz), Melissa (Jorge)Moreno (Martin), Vanessa (Chris) Martin-Neice, Nick (Rachel) Clemans-Bonnell, Justin Bonnell, Andrea Bonnell (Jeff Rach), Nick (Yesi) Ruemler, Brent (Shanda) Ruemler, April (Nick) Crofoot, great-grandchildren Tony, Audrey, Jessanna, Alexondria, Spenzar, Keileeyanah, Jessica, James, Chris, Shanon, Jon, Jaxon, Cagney, Ky, Roon, Mali, Nova, Harper, Abbigale, Dru, Jada, Bryce and Eli, great-great-grandchildren Evelyn, Eliza, Ali, Tuff, Bodhi, Oakley, Collin, Ethan and Hannah, son-in-law David Newcomer of Niles, MI, daughter-in-law Lisa Bonnell, her sister-in-law Rosa Lee Archer. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Georgia Archer, her husband Arnold Bonnell, her daughter Gloria J. Newcomer, her son Roger L. Bonnell, her siblings “Jab” Fred (Agnes) Archer, “Toots” Leona (Leslie) Lewark, “Sis” Audrey (Jim) Allen and “Sunny” Alfred Archer.
Memorial for Florine will be 10 am Saturday August 21, 2021 at 25248 Aqua Drive, Elkhart, IN 46514 for a Time of Sharing (bring photos) 10:30i(ish) for "The Last Boat Ride." Light refreshments immediately after.
