Frances E. Menges

Frances E. Sherman Menges, 89, of Elkhart, died at 4:45 am, Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Golden Living Center, Elkhart.

She was born October 21, 1919 in Vincennes, Indiana to Earl and Emma (Inkemier) Ellis.

Surviving are 2 sons, Robert (Patricia) Sherman of Colorado Springs, CO and Don (Betsy) Sherman of Evart, MI; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Ellis Jr.

Mrs. Menges was retired as a secretary/bookkeeper for Keesler and Emerson of Sturgis, MI and also was a bookkeeper for a mobile home park in Apache Junction, AZ. She was involved with the Civil Air Patrol in Sturgis, MI.

Cremation will take place with a family graveside service on Tuesday at Oaklawn Cemetery, Sturgis, MI.
