Gail Mutch-Anderson, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Elkhart surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, September 17, 2026. She was born on May 14, 1937 in Detroit, MI to Stuart Smith and Maurine Lowrey. On September 4, 1993, she married Stan Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Stuart Smith and Maurine Whitworth, her first husband and father of her children, Gordon Mutch, and her sister, Gwendolyn Evarts.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 23 from 4pm-8pm at the Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN.
