Georgia Ann Kubasiak, age 79, of Elkhart, IN, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026. She was born July 8, 1946, in South Bend, IN. She married Conrad Kubasiak February 1, 1969, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Elkhart. Georgia graduated from Elkhart High School, Class of 1964, and attended Indiana University South Bend. She worked at Miles Laboratories in Elkhart as an executive secretary for the vice president of sales and on government and military contracts.
She also worked and volunteered at multiple schools, including Montessori of Elkhart, St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School, Monger Elementary, and Roosevelt Elementary. She was part of the Rosary Society of St. Thomas and of “St. Tom’s Moms.” Georgia loved her Elkhart community: the schools, the museums, the libraries, the Y. She was a strong advocate for education: science, music, and art. Her greatest joy was introducing her daughter to something new. Wherever you found Kristin, you would find Georgia by her side.
