Harry L. Proctor, 87, of Edwardsburg, Ml passed away Wednesday July 24,2024. Harry was born on January 8, 1937 to Harry Otis and Opal Proctor in Lincoln, Nebraska. Harry married Sharon Bouterse on July 1, 1972 in Elkhart, IN.

Harry had a long career at Miles Laboratory where he was a supervisor for many years. He also grew up on the farm and enjoyed farming himself. He loved riding and training horses.

He also raised all kinds of animals. He enjoyed talking about past events with a twinkle in his eye. He enjoyed going to horse sales, watching rodeos and old westerns on tv. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Harry is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Sharon Proctor; and their combined children Rhonda (Jim) Stover of Cassopolis, MI., David Proctor of Cassopolis, MI., Julie Daum (Carl Grohowski) of Cassopolis, MI., Joseph (Helen) Bouterse of Indianapolis, IN., Jim Bouterse of Warsaw, IN., Jeff (Robin) Bouterse of Colon, MI., and Lynn Butts of Warsaw, IN ; grandchildren Jimmy Bouterse, Jillian Bouterse, CJ Stover, Ryan Stover, Jessica Daum, Melanie Lintz, Sierra Butts, Airania, and TJ; and 13 great-grandchildren. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, his great-granddaughter Audrey Ingold and the mother of his children Nancy Proctor on October 21, 2022.

 

Visitation will be from 10 am - 12 pm on Wednesday July 31, 2024 at Stemm -Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where funeral services will be held at 12pm.
