Heidi Ann Kovacs, age 43, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Heidi was born on September 13, 1977 in South Bend to Lazlo and Jamie Kovacs.
Heidi’s larger than life personality impacted a copious amount of people. She was a word connoisseur with a passion for reading and writing literature. Aside from being a Starbucks aficionado, she enjoyed horseback riding and partaking in arts and crafts. As a member of cross-fit gym, she possessed a life-long love of fitness and a newfound love of acro-yoga. She was always up for new challenges in this aspect, and participated in yearly fundraising fitness events such as MURPH for active military and veterans, and Barbells for Boobs for breast cancer awareness. She was a certified advanced open water scuba diver and her hobbies include traveling and listening to music. She was fond of wild birds and all animals, and made it a priority to befriend them and feed them daily. Heidi was the kind of person you only had to meet once to remember forever. She loved all people and took pride in being an outgoing person and making new friends. The sound of her voice and boisterous laughter will remain in the minds and hearts of those who had the honor of hearing it. She truly drew the attention of the room- when she was there, everyone knew it. Although she is no longer here with us, her presence is still known by all who love her and were lucky enough to experience her fierce soul and feel the heat of her personality.
Heidi was the owner of Rapid Safety & Supply Company in Indianapolis.
Heidi is survived by her daughter, Taylor Kovacs of Osceola, her parents, Jamie & Keith “Grumpy” Burks of Osceola, her sister, Kristi (Aaron Sapen) Kovacs of Osceola, her nephew, Lawson Swiger and her niece, Charlie Swiger, her grandmother, Shirlene Gaddey of Arizona and her baby cat, Piper.
