Jacqueline J. Stahl

Jacqueline J. Stahl, 80, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday Nov. 3 at Greenleaf Living Center, Elkhart.
She was born Apr. 12, 1935 in Red Cloud, Nebraska to John J. and Cora C. (Weesner) Leonard.
On June 6, 1952 in Wichita, KS, she married Vaughn D. Stahl who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1980.
Surviving are her children: Doug (Judy) Stahl of Wakarusa, IN, Marc Stahl of Knoxville, TN, Brad (Michelle) Stahl of New Castle, IN, Joan (Roger) Smith of Elkhart; daughter-in-law Susan Stahl of Elkhart, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Michael Brian Stahl, a daughter-in-law Yvonne Stahl and a granddaughter Ashley Stahl.

Jacqueline graduated from Wichita North High School, Wichita, KS and worked as a secretary for the Elkhart County Courts. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and the Elkhart General Hospital Auxiliary. She loved being with her family and friends, reading almost anything and had a giant collection of frogs from all over the world.

A gathering of family and friends will be 2 to 4pm Saturday Nov. 7 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where a service will be at 4pm with Marge Braden officiating.

Memorials may be given to Center for Hospice Care.
