James O. Funkhouser

James O. Funkhouser,60 of Elkhart, Indiana died January 27, 2008 @ 12:22 P.M. at Elkhart General Hospital.He was born August 4, 1947 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Clayton and Ruth (Wade) Funkhouser. He married Mary Clemens on December 28, 1974 in South Bend, Indiana. She survives along with two sons; Matt (Angie) Funkhouser of Angola, Indiana and Nick Funkhouser of Orlando, Florida.

Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart where services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday. Reverend Brian Cray of Faith United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Mr. Funkhouser was a past educator with the Elkhart Community School System and most recently worked in Marketing and Sales for Haulmark Industries. He was a member of the Christiana Creek Country Club, Elkhart.He was an avid landscaper, loved to golf, travel and spend time with his family. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Society of Hematology.
