James Alan Lovejoy

James Alan Lovejoy, 60, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday April 18, 2021 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka after a brief illness.  He was born April 10, 1961 in Elkhart to Robert and Lillian Lovejoy. He was a Iife long resident of Elkhart.

James is survived by his wife Judy Lovejoy, his mother Lillian Lovejoy, his brothers, David (Donna) Lovejoy and Stephen (Karin) Lovejoy, 2 step-children, Wendy and David Hoefer, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a niece and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lovejoy.

James will be remembered for his “big heart” which was displayed in his deep love for people and animals.

Visitation will be 10am to 12 pm Saturday April 24, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514, where funeral services will be at 12pm. Graveside services will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.
