Janice L. York

Janice L. York, 68, died at her home in Elkhart on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 12:01 am. She was born March 10, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Harold and Emma (Adams) Stacey. They preceded her in death along with a daughter Annette Kinney and her stepfather Orville Lung.

Survivors include 3 daughters Deb Kinney and Anita Naylor of Goshen, and Toni Matney of Mishawaka; a son Richard (Linne) Kinney of Wakarusa; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters Pat Castor, Diane (Jim) Norment and Cheryl Cox all of Elkhart. She worked in production at Johnson Controls in Goshen and later worked for the Goshen Wal-Mart.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the 1:00 pm funeral service Monday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart. Rev. Larry Kurtz of Faith United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery in Goshen at a later date.
