Jesse Douglas Hardy

Jesse Douglas Hardy, 43, of Middlebury, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning at the home of his mother and step-father.

Jesse was born Dec. 28, 1972 in Zanesville, Ohio. Surviving is a daughter, Jesseca Hardy of New Lexington, OH; brother, Jerrod Hardy and sister, Jill Hardy both of Elkhart; half-brother, Ian Hardy and a half-sister, Chelse Hardy both of New Lexington, Ohio; Mother and step-father, Jackie and Keith Draggoo of Bristol; Father, Jack Hardy of New Lexington, Ohio; grandmothers, Glada Barnhart and JoAnn Hardy both of New Lexington, Ohio and a close friend, Tara Lee of Elkhart.

Jesse served in the U.S. Navy and was a millwright at I.P. Moulding Company in Middlebury. He was a member of the Bristol American Legion and enjoyed spending time with his daughter, working on cars and gardening.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 pm Friday, May 13th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date with military honors.
