John P. Bashore

John P. Bashore, 47, of Elkhart, passed away Monday August 25, 2025 at his home. He was born March 13, 1978 in Logansport, IN to Harry Bashore and Debra J. (Muckenfuss) Bashore.

John graduated from Elkhart Central High school in 1996. He enjoyed working at ADEC. John had a sharp mind and was very good with numbers, he could remember such things as old phone numbers as well as current phone numbers. He enjoyed playing with toy cars and watching wrestling.

Surviving are his siblings, Kimberli (Miles) Clark of Elkhart, IN., Christi (Robert) Reed of Kokomo, IN., Elizabeth (David) Scott of Logansport, IN., Annette Duran of Elkhart, IN., Catherine (Chris) Miller of Kokomo, IN., and Crystal (Steve) Lalonde of Croswell, MI, Aunts, Charmaine Meacham, Betty (Bubba) Tucker, Diana (Rick) Ward, Claudeina (Keith) Buford, Uncle John (Tina) Muckenfuss, several nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and nephews and several cousins. John was preceded in death by his father, Harry Bashore; mother Debra (Chester) Shuck; his sister, baby Lois Shuck; Aunts, Paula Shippley, Ruth Young, Judy Haught and Dorothy Shuck and his grandparents.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 with visitation from 10am -12pm. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, IN. In lieu of flower memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral cost.
