Jose Perez Favila

Jose Angel Perez Favila, age 51, of Elkhart, IN passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, October 5, 2026 with his family by his side. He was born on August 7, 1975 in Durango, MX to Domitilo Perez Galindo and Juliana Favila Ramirez. On December 28, 1999 he married Manuela Garcia.

Jose was truly a jack of all trades. As a handyman, there was very little he couldn’t fix or figure out. He was happiest watching or playing baseball, working on cars, and spending time doing the things he loved. He also enjoyed music, soccer, and playing card games, especially poker and blackjack. He was known for being the life of the party, always making loved ones laugh and lighting up every room he walked in. Above all, Jose cherished the time he spent with his family. His love, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jose is survived by his wife of 26 years, Manuela Garcia, children; Maelena (Trevion) Gallope, Erika Perez-Garcia and Omar Perez-Garcia, all of Elkhart, IN, mother, Juliana Favila Ramirez, and siblings; Valeriano Perez Favila, Maria de Jesus Perez Favila, Consuelo Perez Favila and Rufina Perez Favila. He was preceded in death by his father, Domitilo Perez Galindo and siblings; Manuel Perez Favila and Maria Elena Perez Favila.

José Ángel Pérez Favila, de 51 años, de Elkhart, IN, falleció pacíficamente en su casa el lunes 5 de octubre de 2026, acompañado de su familia. Nació el 7 de agosto de 1975 en Durango, MX, hijo de Domitilo Pérez Galindo y Juliana Favila Ramírez. El 28 de diciembre de 1999 se casó con Manuela García.

José era realmente un todoterreno. Como manitas, había muy pocas cosas que no pudiera arreglar o resolver. Era más feliz viendo o jugando béisbol, trabajando en autos y dedicando tiempo a las cosas que amaba. También disfrutaba la música, el fútbol y jugar cartas, especialmente póker y blackjack. Era conocido por ser el alma de la fiesta, siempre haciendo reír a sus seres queridos e iluminando cada habitación que entraba. Por encima de todo, José valoraba el tiempo que pasaba con su familia. Su amor, risas y presencia serán profundamente extrañados por todos los que lo conocieron y amaron.
