Josephine L. Arroyo, 87 of Elkhart, passed away, January 4, 2015 at home.
She was born Nov. 15, 1927 in Brownsville, Texas and married Joaquin R. Arroyo on April 17, 1949 in San Antonio, TX. He died on March 9, 2010. Surviving are 4 sons, Joaquin Arroyo Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, David (Phyllis) Arroyo, Arthur (Fonda) Arroyo and Jessie Arroyo all of Elkhart; a daughter, Sophie (Wes) Miller of Elkhart; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a brother, Florentino Montez of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony Arroyo.
Josephine retired from E.R. Carpenter Co. in Elkhart as a foam cutter. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and garage sales.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Friday, Jan. 9th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1 pm. Fr. Jason Freiburger will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery.
