Juanita Harp

Juanita Harp, 84, of Goshen, IN died Saturday July 2, 2011 at Golden Living Center, Elkhart.

She was born Sept. 27, 1926 in West Frankfurt, IL to Henry K. and Iva Mae (Hayes) Heisner and married Phillip L Harp on July 31, 1942 in Jackson, MO. He died April 1, 1996. Surviving are a son, Leonard (Demetreal) Harp of Truman, Ark.; 2 daughters, Janice Gearing of Alton, Ill. and Diana (Tom) Ellison of Goshen, Ind.; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Gertrude Wyant of Benton, Ill. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Sue Pliemling, a son, Danny L. Harp, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Mrs. Harp was a homemaker and attended First Assembly of God in Goshen and a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in East Alton for 45 years.

Funeral services are Friday at 12 pm at Marks Mortuary, Wood River, Ill. with visitation 2 hours prior. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.

Memorials may be given to Multiple Sclerosis. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart assisted with local arrangements.
