Junelle Miller

Junelle Miller, age 93 of Elkhart, IN passed away with family by her side on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart, IN. Junelle was born on March 25,1933 to Thomas and Velma Hager in Elkhart, IN. She married Robert “Bob” W. Miller on June 17, 1954, he preceded her in death on May 13, 2012.

Junelle graduated from Elkhart High School class of 1950. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, with honors in 1971, and her Master’s in Library Science from Indiana University in 1983. She worked as a librarian and a cataloger for the Elkhart Public Library. Junelle was a volunteer for Homebound Program. She was a member of the American Library Association and the Indiana Library Association. June enjoyed reading, keeping on current events and being in the Bible studies at her church. She enjoyed decorating her home. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.

Junelle is survived by her children, Vickie Hall of Union, MI., David (Stacey) Miller of Elkhart, IN., and Julie (Ernie) Radtke of Elkhart, IN., grandchildren Joseph Mayfield, Kira Radtke, Jacklyn Vilyus, Jake (Brandy Hershberger) Radtke, Charles Vilyus, Brooke Radtke, and twins Atlas Miller and Aria Miller and great-grandchildren Zoey, Zander and Jack and her brother John Hager. Junelle was preceded in death by her husband Bob, their daughter Joni Vilyus, her brothers Thomas and Edwin Hager, sister Jo Lou Sanders and her son-in-law James Hall.

Visitation will be held from 11am -1pm on Monday, October 5, 2026 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where a memorial service will be held at 1pm. Pastor Frank Ramirez will officiate. Burial will follow Shavehead Cemetery.
