Karen A. Gustafson

Karen A. Gustafson, age 78, of Bristol, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on November 26, 2020. Karen was born on October 27, 1942 in Elkhart to Edward and Garnet Gurka. She married Elwood “Woody” Gustafson on November 25, 1961 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Elkhart.

Karen graduated from Elkhart High School; she was co-owner of Woody’s Electric. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She formerly attended Zion Lutheran Church and currently attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Middlebury.

Karen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Woody; their children, Lori (Scott) Denman of Bristol, Lisa (Rodney) Campbell of Bristol and Elwood “Woody” Gustafson, Jr.; their grandchildren, Stacy (Mike) Johnson, Scott (Crystal) Denman, Tyler (Amanda) Campbell, Michael (Kassandra) Campbell, Regina (Cory) Pequignot, twins, Zane and Zoe Gustafson and Katelyn Yoder; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Mia, Garrett, Aaron, Ava, Paxton, Chloe, Cade and Easton. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Wilford “Bill” Ernsberger.

Friends may visitation from 10-12 on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Bld., Elkhart, IN 46514. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 12:30 at Rice Cemetery, Mausoleum.
