Karen Sue McCollough

Karen Sue McCollough, age 61, of Elkhart, passed away Monday December 13, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born October 6, 1960 in Elkhart to Jack and Irene McCollough.

Karen was full of laughter and her smile would light up the room. To some she was known as “Sunshine” but to her family she was known as Tue Tue.  She loved her family and especially enjoyed her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Karen is survived by her mother, Irene, siblings; Kathy (Gary) Martin of Elkhart, Kris (Steve) Viars of Lafayette, IN, Mike McCollough of Elkhart and Kay (Tim) Hartman of Goshen, nieces and nephews; Lisa (Adam) Johnson of Osceola, Erik (Jenny) Martin of Elkhart, Stacy (Jon) Starr of Osceola,  Kylie Weldy of Elkhart, Bethany (Rob) Sahli of St. Paul, MN, Karis (Austin) Waibel of Lafayette, Drew “Bear” Viars of Lafayette, Josh McCollough of Cassopolis, MI, Brandon (Bethany) Hartman of Winterville, GA, Adam (Drea) Hartman of Bristol, Jake (Rachel) Hartman of Goshen and Kaity (Dwayne) Morris of Anderson, IN; great-nieces and nephews, Emily, Abby, Julia, Caroline, Camden, Colt, Thielen, Liam, Jack, Jude, Theo, Jackson, Clara, Elliott, Riley, Addison, Weston, Tanner, Aiden, Brinley, Adilynn, Hayes and  Cooper. Karen was preceded in death by her father Jack McCollough.

Funeral services will be at 1pm on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 with visitation 2 hours before services. Dr. Steve Viars will officiate. Interment will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Goshen, IN.
