Larry Leighton Carroll

Larry Leighton Carroll, 69, of Union, Michigan died May 31, 2008 at 8:00 A.M. at Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on September 5, 1938 in Plainwell, Michigan to Frederick L. and Virginia E. (Leighton) Carroll. He married Jeanette L. Gates on November 8, 1975 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

She survives along with four sons; Kevin (Elizabeth)Carroll of Brooklyn, Michigan, Todd (Luanne) Carroll of Saline, Michigan, Benjamin (Leisa) Carroll of Union, Michigan and Shaun (Carolyn Ciresi) Carroll of Indianapolis, Indiana; six grandchildren; a brother, Bruce (Brenda) Carroll of Allegan, Michigan and a sister, Kathleen (John)Rybak of Burnsville, Minnesota.

Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard where services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Reverend Dale Speckman will officiate.

Mr. Carroll was a certified public accountant, a firefighter and EMT for Porter Township Fire Department and EMS and a former Porter Township Supervisor. He was a member of the Michiana Jeep Club. Memorial contributions may be given to the Porter Fire Department.
