Linda Lee (Clifton) Shaffer

Linda Lee Shaffer, 81, of Elkhart, IN passed away on April 30, 2024, at Elkhart General Hospital with her husband by her side. Linda was born on March 19, 1943, to Arthur Earl and Lillian Mae (Fair) Clifton in Three Rivers, MI. Linda married Marion Jay Shaffer on January 1, 2003, in Goshen, IN.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Jay Shaffer of Elkhart, IN; stepsons Jay Shaffer of Elkhart, IN., Patrick (Jenni) Etherington and Kurt (Jill) Etherington, step-grandchildren Doug (Haley) Shaffer of Bristol, IN., Caleb (Rebecca) Shaffer of Edwardsburg, MI, Chanda Shaffer of Edwardsburg, MI; Nathan, Emily, Logan, Andrew and Rebekah Etherington, step-great-grandchildren Hoyt, Case, Beau, Ember, Holsyn and Alexandria. Linda was preceded in death her parents and her step-great-granddaughter Ivory.

Linda was a secretary for Whitehall Laboratories, Jessen Manufacturing Company and Continental Can Company. She enjoyed camping, canoeing, yard work, gardening, roller skating, she was always up for a new adventure. She and her husband, Jay, are both very active members at McCoy memorial Baptist Church.  She loved to spend time with her friends.

Friends and family may gather from 1-2pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at McCoy Memorial Baptist Church, 134 St. Clair Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516 where a memorial service will be held at 2pm. Pastor Christopher Kocher and Pastor Ray Laborde will officiate. Linda will be laid to rest at Adamsville Cemetery in Edwardsburg, MI at a later date. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting Linda’s family.  In memory of Linda, memorial donations may be made to the church.
