Luther "Luke" Stemm

Luther F. Stemm, Jr., 71, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday March 26, 2020 at his home.

Luke was born Nov. 23, 1948 in Elkhart to Luther F. and Norma L. (Anderson) Stemm, Sr.

He is survived by his companion of 30 years Cynthia Williams, daughters: JoAnna Cianfarani-Stemm of Elkhart and Megan (Derek) Stemm-Wade of Arlington Heights, IL, a grandson Brian and a sister Gayle (Jon) Shinos of Sheshegwaning Reservation, Mantoulin Island, Canada.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Verna Stemm.

Luke graduated from Elkhart High School and worked for the US Postal Service for 36 years retiring in 2004. He was a little league and high school umpire and referee and enjoyed the Chicago White Sox and  Bears, Jeff Gordon and bowling. He was a loving dad, grandpa and companion. He will be greatly missed.

Cremation will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home to offset costs.
