Lynn Ann Minichillo

September 27, 1954 — March 9, 2018

Lynn was born on September 27, 1954 in Angola, IN to Nicholas A. and Mervyn J. (Conley) Minichillo. Lynn passed March 9, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Goshen.

Lynn is survived by her beloved children, Nathan Hileman and Cortney (Eric) Freedline, her sisters, Kathryn (Robert) Morgan and Lora Minichillo, and loving grandchildren, Cameron, Ethan, Libby and Molly Freedline.

She joins in Heaven her mother and father and her brother, Mark. Lynn graduated with the class of 1973 from Elkhart High School and enjoyed reliving “the good old days” with her classmates.

Lynn had a twenty-year career with Dr. Donald C. Findlay. Lynn enjoyed her career in dentistry and had a strong interest in medicine, earning her the nickname “Dr. Minichillo.” She retired in 2003.

Lynn had many passions. She was a master crafter and creatively talented cook. Lynn had an infectious smile and an unparalleled sense of humor. Through her lifetime, Lynn faced many medical challenges, but she handled each one with strength, grace and positivity. In 1986 Lynn survived a brain aneurysm and was diagnosed in 1996 with Friedrichs Ataxia. Lynn never let these adversities define her. She persisted as a strong, fierce woman who inspired strength in those around her. Lynn fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a mother and was immensely involved in her grandchildren’s lives.

Lynn had many friends and admirers.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday March 13 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday March 14 at 1 PM at the funeral home.

Cremation will follow.
