Margarita Cruz Delgado

Margarita Cruz Delgado, age 74 of Elkhart, IN passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, April 10, 2026. Margarita was born on February 23, 1952 to Alberto Cruz and Julia Delgado Santiago in Humacao, Puerto Rico.

Margarita was blessed with 4 children, Edgardo Tolentino of Michigan, Ricardo Cruz of Elkhart, IN., Katiria Cruz of Elkhart, IN., and Joshual (Yesenia) Cruz of Elkhart, IN eleven grandchildren., 3 great-grandchildren and her 6 siblings, Magdalena Cruz Delgado, Alicia Cruz Delgado, Delia Cruz Delgado, Victoria Cruz Delgado, Adaberto Cruz Delgado and Cecilio Cruz Delgado. Margarita was preceded in death by her parents.

Margarita loved to clean and was known for having an immaculate home. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held from 12-4 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where the funeral will be at 4pm. She will be laid to rest in Puerto Rico. Online condolences may be made to her family at www.stemmlawsonpeterson.com
