Marie M. Kash

Marie M. Kash (Rouhselange), 103, of Estero, Florida passed away on June 27, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. he was the wife of the late Steven M. Kash.

Marie was born on November 24, 1916, in Crown Point, IN, as the first of nine children to the late Jose. and Magdalen s. (Schmidt) Rouhselange. She grew up in Crown Point and graduated from area  schools. After graduating, she and Steven met through friends and were wed June 12, 1939, in Crown Point, Indiana, being blessed with two children.

Steven and Marie owned and operated Kash Industries for many years in Elkhart, IN, where she served as Office Manager. They lived their beautiful lives in Elkhart and in 2016, Marie relocated to Estero, FL, to be near her son and daughter. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

Marie had many passions in life including family dinners, spending time at their lake cottage, traveling such as spending winters in both Arizona and Florida. She enjoyed many overseas trips in her later years, visiting Scotland, Ireland, France, Iceland, Italy, touring Alaska once with her husband and again after he had passed, and Hawaii.

Marie is survived by her two beloved children; Stephen Kash of Florida, Marilyn Rakestraw and her husband Allen of Florida. Loving Grandmother of Donna and Scott; Great-Grandmother of Spencer and Delaney. She also leaves her siblings Lyra Kennedy and her husband James of IN, Harold "Sookie" Rouhselange and his wife Marianne of FL, Joan Polzen of Ml, Janice Hendrix and her husband Jon of IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Steven M. Kash, as well as her late siblings, Gilbert Rouhselange, Vernon Rouhselange, Irene Bjorklun, and Helen O'Brien.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am Tuesday August 3, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bristol, IN. where friends may visit fron 10 to 11 am. Fr. Bob VanKempen will officiate. Burial will be Wednesday August 4, 2021 at Rice Cemetery.
