Michael Byrd

Michael S. Byrd, 76, of Middlebury, IN passed away at Waterford Crossing on April 15, 2025. Michael was born in Elkhart, IN, on July 1, 1948, to J. Levon and Betty Byrd.

On July 25, 1998 Michael married Linda Hartter in Goshen, IN.

Michael is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Byrd; 4 sons, Christopher (Linda) Byrd of Elkhart, IN, Jeff (Jill) Byrd of Bremen, IN, Andy (Tricia) Cripe of Midland, MI, Jeff Cripe of OH and 10 grandchildren. Michael was preceded in death by his sister Marcia and his parents Levon and Betty Byrd.

Michael was a member of the Middlebury Men's Club, enjoyed the lake, loved dogs and animals. He also loved corvettes and scuba diving for many years. Michael will be dearly missed by all those who loved and knew him.

A memorial service for Michael will be held at 1pm on May 17, 2025 at Middlebury Church of the Brethren, 507 Bristol Ave, Middlebury, IN 46540, where light refreshments will be provided after the memorial service.
