Michael Francis Jozwiak

Michael Francis Jozwiak, 78 of Elkhart passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at his home. Michael was born on October 19, 1945 in South Bend, IN to Marion Francis and Elizabeth Jozwiak.

Michael is survived by his son Christopher Sean Jozwiak; his grandchildren; siblings Richard (Jaqueline) Jozwiak of Middlebury, IN David Jozwiak of Elkhart, IN and Michelle (LaMont) Jozwiak of Chicago, IL. Michael was preceded in death by his parents Marion and Elizabeth Jozwiak and his son Darrell Jozwiak.

Michael attended St. Joseph Catholic High School in South Bend, IN and graduated from Our Lady Junior Seminary in Wawasee, IN. He attended St. Gregory Seminary in Cincinnati, OH.  He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. While serving in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, he was a language interpreter for several different languages. Michael earned his language degree from the Defense Language Institute, West Coach Branch Presidio of Monterey, California.  Michael formerly worked as a foreman and warehouse manager at NIBCO and most recently for Bugsy’s Elkhart Exterminating.  He enjoyed reading and fishing.

A graveside service with military honors will take place at 1 pm on June 13, 2024 at Peace Mausoleum at Rice Cemetery, 400 James Street Elkhart, Indiana 46514 with Fr. Logan Parrish officiating.
